Linn has released the Kustom DSM network player intended for custom install. And so the company returns to a market segment where it was also active 25 years ago.
Linn’s new multiroom Kustom DSM network player is intended for custom installation installations. The newcomer uses the same technology under the bonnet as Seleckt DSM, but now packed in an easy to install housing. The device can operate independently or integrate into an existing smart home system. By the way, you can choose between two variants. First there is a 2 stream – 4 zone version a £2825. It transmits two audio streams to up to four different zones. Then there is the 4 stream – 8 zone version (i.e. 4 sending streams to up to eight different zones) a £5650.
Crestron and Control4 drivers
You can connect multiple Linn Kustom DSM’s, which can be used to realize any scale of an installation. Furthermore, drivers are provided for both big names in the field of custom install, Crestron and Control4. It makes the new Linn easy to integrate into an existing smart home system. The Kustom DSM has HDMI ARC, Toslink, SP/Dif and RCA. Each zone has a set of tulip outputs for connection to other components. The unit is available immediately, armed with a five-year warranty. With the Kustom DSM, Linn returns in any case to a playing field in which it was also active 25 years ago, then with the Knekt multiroom system.
