Sometimes you come across some very nice stuff. Like this intended portable record player, equipped with Wifi and Bluetooth.
We found this mobile record player in a message from the German LikeHifi. And we certainly don’t want to deprive you of this delightful device. After all, who wouldn’t want to enjoy their vinyl collection on the road? It can be done with this – as yet under development – portable turntable. Of course, you used to have these things too, but their quality left a lot to be desired (and that’s a cautious way of putting it). The developers of this copy promise that – although of course not high-end – it does have a mustache with the sound quality.
Aluminium
The Coturn CT-01 – as it is officially called – runs on rechargeable batteries. When fully loaded, these are good for up to 16 hours of playing time. Furthermore, wifi and Bluetooth connectivity has been considered. The housing of the portable turntable is made of sturdy aluminium, so no rickety plastic. The player can handle 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl and an Audio-Technica AT 3600 is used as an element.
For example, connect headphones to the turntable, or use the line output. And of course there are also the mentioned wireless connection possibilities. If you deposit €299 or more at Kickstarter, you will receive your player around May this year. And given the fact that the required amount has already been exceeded, the device will be there. Just in time for the summer months!
