This year’ Record Store Day on April 18

Record Store Day

The by now well-known Record Store Day – to promote the old record shop – will be held on April 18th this year.

Record Store Day was once created to put the old and slowly dying record store in the spotlight. The revival of vinyl in recent years fits in almost seamlessly. Meanwhile we see in ‘the record store’ again bins of vinyl. Well, you have to love it but if that’s the case: enjoy it as long as it lasts. Record Store Day is an international celebration, which this year – also in the Netherlands – will be held on April 18.

Exclusive releases

Also in the 2020 edition, a whole series of exclusive releases have been considered that are only available on vinyl. The complete list of records can be found on the release page here. And that is part of the website that gives the Dutch Record Store Day 2020 an online face. However, the intention is that you go to one of the participating record stores on that day and make your purchase there.

None of the pieces of vinyl mentioned is available online! And that makes it all just that little bit more exclusive. Also applies that only a limited number of the records from the list are available. In short: the true lover will be up early on April 18 and join the old-fashioned physical row!
