A nice compact subwoofer like the new Velodyne MicroVee MKII subwoofer finds a place everywhere. It’s practically ideal.
The Velodyne MicroVee MKII subwoofer finds a place even in small houses. The sub measures only 22.9 x 22.9 x 22.4 cm. The in-house Digital Drive Control System (DDCS) has been specially designed for this subwoofer. It is based on a DSP that provides linear diaphragm movement and reduces distortion. According to the manufacturer even values up to 1/-6 part compared to similar subs.
2000 Watts Class D
A Class D amplifier with a maximum power of 2000 Watts and a patented Energy Recovering System (ERS) drives the 6.5 inch driver. A – again according to the manufacturer – optimized power supply must guarantee good dynamics and precisely defined bass. You will also find passive bass radiators on both sides.
Practical is the anti-clipping circuit that prevents overload. Finally, there is also a subwoofer direct input, which bypasses the internal separation filter.
The Velodyne MicroVee MKII is available in black and white for €1100. A perfect solution if you don’t have room for a subwoofer with more traditional dimensions.
