Vertere Acoustics DG-1 now with Magneto cartridge

Vertere Acoustics

The ‘entry model’ of Vertere Acoustics, or the DG-1 turntable, is now supplied as standard with the proprietary Magneto cartridge.

Previously, the Vertere Acoustics DG-1 turntable – released last summer – comes with a VM520EB cartridge from Audio Technica. From now on, the manufacturer upgraded it to the new Magneto cartridge. The one they build themseves. According to Vertere Acoustics, the Magneto, for example, can easily handle vinyl that is in a somewhat inferior condition. At the same time that cartridge is also very musical.

The Magneto uses a precisely finished oval needle that must guarantee good tracking. Furthermore, the needle is also replaceable, always handy. According to the makers, a central shield with an iron core provides a better HF response and an electrical crosstalk value above 40 dB. The total frequency range of the Magneto runs from 20 Hz to 23 kHz.

Upgrade options

If you happen to already have a DG-1 from Vertere Acoustics with the ‘old’ cartridge, it is important to keep an eye on the manufacturer’s website. If you would like to come into possession of the new Magneto at least for an upgrade price. Soon there will be a blog and a video with information about the various upgrade options.
