TCL TVs with IMAX Enhanced support

TCL announces that the X915 8K QLED television also supports IMAX Enhanced. Good news for those that like a good image ánd sound!

The 65- and 77-inch models of the TCL X915 are starting to leave the factory. A good moment to let you know that the devices support IMAX Enhanced. By the way, this is a certification program set up by IMAX and DTS. IMAX Enhanced content consists of digitally remastered 4K HDR recordings, stored in the extra wide image format characteristic of IMAX. Add to that the equally certified DTS surround and multi-channel sound.

Many possibilities

Very carefully, the first IMAX Enhanced content is starting to appear. Among others on Blu-ray, but also via some streaming services. In any case, the TCL X915 has all the necessary specs to reproduce the source material as well as possible.

First of all, there are of course the 8K resolution, the QLED panel and also the built-in soundbar tuned by Onkyo. HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision HDR are also supported. And the smart part is provided by Adroid TV OS. The price of the new TCL TVs is still unknown at the time of writing, but here and there prices around $4000 are mentioned. And that is a nice average of the Samsung 8K QLED TVs.
