JBL Quantum series for gamers

JBL

Gaming is more than just staring at a screen and watching bright colors. Sound (also) plays an important role. And for serious gamers, the JBL Quantums could come in handy!

Game sound can mean the difference between winning or losing – especially for serious gamers who make their money with this kind of ‘sport’. An incorrectly ‘placed’ and (or) missed sound can just lead to a bullet in the head: game over. That’s why the most comprehensive JBL Quantum ONE (see image above) features QuantumSPHERE 360 sound technology, which places spatial sound precisely where it needs to be, thanks to head tracking.

The ONE costs €249 by the way. Just beneath this top model is a whole range of other Quantum gaming headsets from JBL.

Active Noise Cancelling

The headsets have things like a flip-up or detachable microphone with echo and noise reduction. Memory foam ear cushions should ensure that a JBL Quantum still feels comfortable even after many hours of intensive gaming.

The Quantum 800 and the already mentioned ONE have active noise cancelling. Which means that you can also listen undisturbed in a hall full of gamers. The prices of the Quantum series are between €79 and the already mentioned €249 for the ONE.  There’s also the Quantum DUO PC speaker set with JBL’s dynamic surround sound and Dolby Digital.

Gaming is of course a completely different world than high-end audio. But still quite interesting to keep an eye on it once in a while to see what’s going on there in terms of sound.
