The Jeep Grand Wagoneer concept car is graced with audio equipment from McIntosh. A nice tune for the road.
It is now already twenty years ago that McIntosh was active in the car market as far as in-car audio is concerned. There are no further specifications announced about the upcoming system for the Jeep. However, there is a (very short and insignificant) video circulating which clearly shows the characteristics of McIntosh equipment. Think of the famous blue of the brand, plus aluminum frames. And apparently you can expect solid power, as the teaser shows.
For the first time in twenty years
A long time ago McIntosh designed OEM sound systems, as well as equipment that customers could build in themselves. In the early 2000’s, we saw a sound system for the Special Edition engines of Harley Davidson, while in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ford the GT, the brand was graced with something beautiful from the stables of McIntosh.
The announcement is not a complete surprise. The company did announce a collaboration with Sonus Faber and Alps Alpine. The installation for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer concept car may therefore be a nice exercise for more to come.
