Sonus Faber has launched the Lumina Collection worldwide. This loudspeaker series turns out to be very affordable, so that’s a bonus.
Importer Savor Audio announces that Sonus Faber has released the Lumina Collection: ‘Lumina Collection is a new, extremely affordable and especially beautifully finished loudspeaker series that is of course handmade in Italy (unprecedented in this price range). Sonus faber Lumina Collection: pure Italian craftsmanship
The press release from Savor Audio continues: Each of the three speaker models from the new Lumina Collection series breathes the values that Sonus faber stands for. Refined details in both appearance and reproduction, acquired by the unique Italian craftsmanship for which Sonus faber is known. That quality is therefore reflected in the materials and raw materials from which Lumina Collection is built. Multilayer wood combined with high quality leather and a real wood finish give the Lumina Collection speakers a distinguished appearance.
Technique
Lumina Collection also offers the cream of the crop when it comes to techniques for those who love music and film. Thanks to innovative technologies, each speaker in the Lumina range can be easily placed in virtually any room in the house for a grand and authentic experience of sound. Even near a wall or on a bookshelf. This makes enjoying good sound much easier and more accessible to many consumers, when placement and appearance also play a role.
This is made possible by the placement of the bass reflex port, which is placed on the bookshelf model Lumina I at the front and on the floor-standing Lumina III at the bottom of the loudspeaker. The Lumina Collection driver arrangement is partly based on the more luxurious Sonetto range, among others. In the Lumina Collectio series we find the unique ‘Voice of Sonus faber’, in which the iconic D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter with a 29 mm silk dome is placed in a damped and optimally shaped baffle. The 4 inch midwoofers are newly designed for the Lumina Collection series and consist of a specially designed ‘basket’ with a cellulose pulp based cone mixed with other natural fibres. The 5 inch midrange drivers are the same as in the Sonetto range, with an air-dried mix of natural fibres and paper. The 5-inch woofers are also completely new in design and, with their paper-pulp-based cone, offer the perfect sound characteristics to work with the design and other drivers of the Sonetto loudspeakers,” says the enthusiastic importer.
