All six compositions on New Hammond Sound Project were played live, but the use of Carlo’s modular, custom-made Hammond and Jordi’s hybrid drums gives them a strong electronic character.

The sound is diverse, yet always with the characteristic sound of the Hammond organ through all digital and analogue arrangements. The foundation is formed by Jordi’s super tight grooves with his contemporary drum sound and underneath that the deep, growling Moog bass played by Carlo’s feet’, we read in the press release distributed by Tjamp Records.

The New Hammond Sound Project by Carlo de Wijs is a project in which Modular Hammond, Hybrid Drums and Interactive Visuals come together. Tjamp Records: ‘By making extensive use of contemporary technology, the musicians push the boundaries of the traditional sound of Hammond organ and drums and exploit new soundscapes’.
