Yamaha has its own multiroom ecosystem under the name MusicCast. Now there is an update for a lot of devices. It adds Amazon Music HD.
Yamaha MusicCast already supports HD streams. The multiroom platform, which was launched in 2015, has long been able to handle the hi-res subscription of Qobuz, for example; the maximum achievable quality there is 24 bit / 192 kHz. After the aforementioned update, you will now also play hi-res audio from Amazon HD. There is an extensive range of equipment that can handle MusicCast. Think of various AV receivers and soundbars. But – and this is still special – also the multiroom turntable MusicCast Vinyl 500.
Furthermore, there are some streaming speakers of the brand that are also updateable.
Update
In short: do you have a Yamaha device that is equipped with MusicCast and you also happen to have an Amazon Music HD, then it is important to quickly implement the available update. You will then be able to enjoy even better streamed music quality. And that’s always nice we think.
