Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge wireless speaker

Bang & Olufsen

Bang & Olufsen has released a new wireless speaker. The Beosound Emerge looks like a book and is nice and slim.

The Danish company Bang & Olufsen proves once again that a wireless speaker does not have to look like the rest of the grey masses. The new Beosound Emerge is another typical example of Scandinavian design, provided of course that you are charmed by it. If that is the case, then you are with the Emerge in terms of appearance already very happy.

The wireless speaker was designed in collaboration with the London-based design firm Layer. More specifically, it was Benjamin Hubert who started working on it.

Modular

Apart from the design, the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge is a modular unit. It means you can replace or upgrade parts as needed, kudos! For example, while the connectivity module currently has enough processor power on board for years to come, the demands on this component may become higher in the future. In that case, instead of throwing your speaker away, simply buy a new module.

Furthermore, in the Beosound Emerge you will find a 4-inch woofer, a 1.45-inch midrange driver and a 0.6-inch tweeter. According to Bang & Olufsen, this trio covers a frequency range of 45 Hz to 22 kHz. You can choose from an Emerge with gold finish a €899 or an anthracite color for which you have to pay €699. Available from October this year.
