The Berliner Philharmoniker offers “the world’s first video streaming platform with hi-res and lossless audio accompanying the image. A delight for true purists.

Not only watching in UHD, but also enjoying hi-res and lossless sound with that video. It is possible with the streaming service of the Berliner Philharmoniker. The well-known FLAC codec is used, in qualities up to 24 bit / 96 kHz. At the moment all concerts in the archive can be viewed including hi-res sound and soon all live concerts will be broadcasted in this way.


The Berlin Philharmonic is familar with streaming. Since 2008 they have been streaming about forty concerts live each season, and these recordings are and will remain available in the now extensive archive.

You can take out an – affordable – subscription to the service, for example for €14.95 per month. Within that subscription you will then not only see the live concerts, but you will also have access to the aforementioned archive.

Furthermore, a free trial period is available, so you don’t have to worry about that. Once you have taken out a subscription, apps for various devices are available, making it all very accessible and user-friendly.
