Sennheiser has released the HD 450SE, a Special Edition (hence the SE) of the HD 450BT. It features seamless integration with Amazon’s Alexa, among others.
The Sennheiser HD 450SE has just about all the features you’d expect from modern headphones. Via Bluetooth 5.0 the most important codecs are supported, including aptX and aptX Low Latency as well as AAC. Special to this special edition is the Voice Assist button. This allows you to contact Amazon Alexa, or if desired Google Assistant or Siri.
Via yet another set of buttons, you take a hands-free call, or control the music you are listening to. Through the Sennheiser Smart Control App the sound can be completely adjusted to one’s own taste and ears. This includes an in-app equalizer. Naturally, Active Noise Cancellation or ANC is also provided, which means that you can listen quietly even in noisy environments.
30 hours playing time
The long playing time on a single battery charge is very pleasant: you can listen for up to 30 hours without being plugged in. Fast charging of the Sennheiser HD 450 SE is an option via the USB-C connection. Included with the headphones are a matching case and an additional audio cable that allows you to continue listening if you unexpectedly run out of battery power while on the road. The closed over-ear buys you for an amount of €199.
