Sharp 2021 4K TVs surprisingly affordable

Sharp

That a 4K television doesn’t have to lead to an empty bank account, Sharp proves with its new 2021 models.

Sharp is in the top 10 for LCD panels. Which, of course, the company also uses in its own televisions. Like, for example, the new 2021 models, which also turn out to be surprisingly affordable.

The entry-level model – a 50-inch unit – costs about €618. For about €640 you score a 50-inch model with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision on board. The most expensive 65-inch model with “all the trimmings” costs about €874.

All of these interestingly priced models have things like Sharp’s Active Motion 600 Technology on board, designed to counteract movement and distortion during movement. 12 bit HDR color should reduce color bands considerably.

Harman Kardon speakers

As for the audio side of the 2021 televisions, Sharp has chosen integrated speakers from Harman Kardon and on the DN models Dolby Atmos. Those same DN models also feature DTS Virtual:X post-processing, which should provide better quality of higher frequencies and clarity. The 65-inch DN model is also equipped with a Harman Kardon subwoofer.

Furthermore, all devices are “smart,” with apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, Tidal and more. In total, there are four 2021 models: 50DL3KA, 50DN3KA, 65DL3KA and 65DN3KA. The only downside is that the devices will be available “sometime this summer” and thus too late for the European Championship.
