Chord Shawline 48 Gbps HDMI cable

Chord has released a new 48 Gbps-capable HDMI cable. The transfer in this Shawline HDMI AOC 21 takes place optically.

That AOC in the name Shawline AOC 21 stands for Active Optical Cable. Chord has built in a True HDMI chipset at both ends of the cable; the actual transmission is via fiber optics. According to the manufacturer, the whole thing is insensitive to HF noise. Incidentally, this cable ranks second to Chord when it comes to performance in the HDMI category. The copper section is provided with updates in the field of mechanical insulation. Most ‘improving’, however, is the new HDMI chipset.

The Chord Shawline HDMI AOC 21 does not turn its hand to 8K at 60 or 120 Hz refresh rate. This will prepare you for the future for some time to come. Choose from 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m, 8 m, 10 m, 15 m and 20 m lengths. If you need something different, custom lengths up to 50 m are available. Prices start from £250 for a 1 metre unit.
