Naim rolls out yet another extra streaming option for its music streamers, after updating you can now also listen to tracks from Tidal. Through a free software update, you’ll activate TIDAL Connect in Naim media players (and more). This allows you to use all the features of the TIDAL app to listen in high quality via players or system from this manufacturer.
At the same time, you can continue to use the basic features of TIDAL through the Naim app. To be more precise, we are talking about firmware update version 3.7 for the Uniti Atom, Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, Uniti Star and Uniti Nova music streamer systems. The ND5 XS2, NDX 2 and ND 555 streaming players also benefit from the update.
Furthermore, an update is in the offing for the Mu-so 2nd Generation family of wireless speakers, which will also provide TIDAL capabilities thereon.
TIDAL trial with new Naim
Obviously, you still need to provide a subscription to TIDAL yourself. The rule is that you don’t have to pay anything extra for TIDAL Connect within that subscription. And if you buy one of the currently available models of Naim, you’ll receive a free 90-day trial subscription to TIDAL so that you can start listening immediately. You can decide afterwards whether it will be a permanent feature.
