CH Precision D1.5 SACD cd-speler

CH Precsion

Swiss CH Precision presents a new SACD / CD drive in the form of the D1.5, including MQA compatibility.

The new CH Precision D1.5 SACD / CD drive features an optimized reading system with the name ‘MORSe’ as its basis. The optical reading unit and motor are mounted on a sled manufactured of brass, weighing about 1 kilogram. An ‘alpha gel’ suspension should prevent annoying vibrations. Including the vibrations caused by the power supply. The player’s frame weighs about 2 kilos and is made of milled aluminum.

The CH Precision D1.5 plays SACDs, CDs and MQA CDs without troubles. In matter of outputs, one can choose from the brand’s own CH Link HD, AES/EBU, S/PDIF and Toslink, all digital. In case you want, an optional dual mono DAC and Sync IO expansion module are available. Also built in is PEtER Spline based upsampling. The outputs can be configured to optimize content from MQA CDs for an MQA-capable DAC. The player is available immediately, costing €34,300 as a transport. Or go for a four-enclosure SACD / CD player and transport for €39,000. If you happen to have a CH Precision D1, then upgrading to the D1.5 is possible. In that case, the upgrade price is the difference between the two players listed prices.
