Pioneer DJ presents the DM-50D active desktop monitors, for both professional and home use.
Pioneer DJ’s new DM-50D builds on the successful DM-40. Inside the newcomer you will find several new components. According to the manufacturer those will provide a more powerful and higher quality sound. The boxes are a two-way setup, equipped with a 5-inch bass driver and a 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter. Pioneer’s (also new) DECO diffuser makes the high frequencies disperse more broadly. A class D power amplifier with 96 kHz sampling frequency is the powerhouse within.
A DSP makes it possible to switch between playback optimized for DJ use or production tasks. At the back, you’ll find a series of inputs, including 0.25-inch jack, mini-jack and RCA. At the front of the Pioneer DJ DM-50D you’ll find a volume control and a mini jack connection for headphones. Available from early next month, in white or black for a $270 price.
