Music streaming service Qobuz has launched its first ever app for TVs, partnering with Samsung.
If you own a Samsung smart TV with Tizen OS, and you happen to be a subscriber to Qobuz, you’re in luck. As of now, the Qobuz app is available on devices from this manufacturer. You can find the app in the app store of your television. Existing subscribers can quickly and easily login using a QR code and then start listening. Samsung announced that you can listen to Qobuz streams via sharing with all kinds of devices throughout the house.
Editorial content and more
The advantage of Qobuz on via TV is of course the big screen. Not necessarily for the music itself, but for the extra information the music service has to offer. Think background information about an album, artists or editorials and more. Especially the textual info (see screenshot above this article) shines on a big screen. And oh well, the fact that you can also view the cover art of an album in large format is a nice added bonus. Qonuz also offers a lossless hi-fi subscription. The catalog of over 70 million songs is available in many countries around the world.
