UK-based Russ Andrews has released a new Ethernet filter in the shape of an RJ45 plug, member of the brand’s MiniZap series.
According to Russ Andrews, the new RJ45 MiniZap absorbs HF and EMI as generated by an AC mains power supply. HF noise is often produced by wifi networks, according to the manufacturer. All in all, this little gem should be indispensable in any audio setup. Under the hood of the plug you will find a so-called Zobel filter, which has been a proved design and in use for many years already. The Russ Andrews RJ45 MiniZap costs €335.24. Just plug it into a free port on a switch or router and you’re done.
