The new Technics SA-C600 is a streamer-CD player-receiver, so as far as we are concerned it can simply be called an all-in-one.
The Technics SA-C600 has everything on board to get started right away. The system fits nicely together – in terms of design – with the SB-C600. Those are compact boxes from the same manufacturer released in November last year. Special to the SA-C600 is the toploader for CDs. It’s a feature you used to see a lot, especially in the early days of the CD (player). Furthermore, a DAB+ and FM tuner have been implemented, while an MM phono preamplifier for vinyl lovers is also built-in. Various inputs, including coaxial and optical digital, USB-B and a line input, make the system expandable with external sources.
MQA and multiroom
Whether expansions to the Technics SA-C600 are really necessary? If you consider the device also houses a streamer and a 2 x 60 Watt (4 Ohm) power amplifier, then the conclusion is that this multi-talent will have more than enough to offer for most users. A nice extra is the built-in room correction meter which is executed separately for the left and right channel. Chromecast provides multiroom capabilities, but Apple AirPlay 2, MQA and music streamers like Tidal, Deezer, Spotify and Amazon Music are also present. And for all this beauty together, you’ll pay a price of €999.
