HBO Max is coming to the Netherlands and 14 other European countries, the UK isn’t included though.
Video streamer HBO Max is expanding firmly in Europe. In addition to the Netherlands, as of March 8 subscriptions are also available in Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. An interesting detail though, is the question of how long the streamer will exist in its current form. Owner WarnerMedia will be separated from parent company AT&T in the future. The latter will merge with Discovery, which already has its own streaming service Discovery+. Merging into one is an option, although the viewers base of Discovery+ is of course fundamentally different from that of HBO Max. So we’ll have to wait and see, as always.
