Hobo Hifi thinks to have found a fine candidate, as we learn from their most recent newsletter: ‘Thorens has added an even nicer direct drive turntable to the range, which guarantees a refined, dynamic reproduction of vinyl’. The Thorens features an ‘audiophile grade tone arm with pre-mounted Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge in a removable headshell’, we read on the product page of the player. Which as you can see there is available in a walnut finish among others.
