Samsung is having some troubles sourcing the panels it needs for its QD-QLED display-based televisions.
Samsung is having trouble getting enough parts for its QD-QLED TVs. These devices should have come to market later this year, but the company is now considering delaying that moment. A salient detail is that the supplier of the required panels is also part of the brand, namely Samsung Display. Samsung Electronics wants to buy the panels from Display for the same price (or less of course) that competitor LG Displays also charges. Neither party wants to budge an inch, so no much-needed panel has changed hands yet. Meanwhile, other parties are buying Display’s panels, including Sony.
