A firmware update that includes Auro-3D is available for the Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A and RX-A6A.
In case you own a Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A or RX-A6A AV receiver, it’s time for a firmware-update. After updating the system(s) support Auro-3D. This surround system, developed in Belgium, should provide a fully immersive sound experience including the height channel. This was of course already available via Dolby Atmos, but having an extra alternative at hand is never a bad thing. One of the special features of Auro-3D is, that immersive sound objects can be placed in virtual space with high precision. And that, in turn, should lead to a great movie and gaming experience.
