Germany’s Vincent has released a new hybrid integrated amplifier in the form of the SV-228.
The new Vincent SV-228 is hybrid in design, meaning that it’s built around a mix of tubes and semiconductors as a basis. For the enthusiasts, VU meters are provided embedded in the front panel. So while listening you also have something to look at! The maximum available power is 2 x 100 watts into 8 ohms and 2 x 180 watts into 4 ohms. Furthermore, digital files are playable and we guess (although not yet mentioned on the modest product page) that both wifi (given the visible antenna) and Ethernet are present. We do see that the file formats WAV, FLAC, APE, LPCM, MP3, AAC, AC3 and WMA can be played; most likely via DLNA.
