Rotel celebrates its milestone 60th anniversary with the launch of two new jubileum models in the Diamond series.
According to the manufacturer, the two new Diamond models reflect the quality and passion for outstanding sound that Rotel has been known for for 60 years. The brand was founded in 1961 by Mr. Tomoki Tachikawa in the Japanese city of Tokyo and has been led by his family ever since. The Diamond series includes the DT-6000 DAC Transport and the RA-6000 integrated amplifier. Both models feature a new, industrial design with a modern and contemporary style, which fits the current Rotel range.
Michi
‘Both products in the Diamond series offer very high audio quality and excellent sound performance thanks to the combination of a Michi-based circuit design and high-quality, specially developed components. As a result, the new products are at the higher end of the Rotel range’, the company announces.
DT-6000 DAC Transport
According to Rotel, the DT-6000 DAC Transport is ‘the ultimate source component for audio and music enthusiasts, bringing music to life with unprecedented detail. The heart of the DT-6000 is the 8-channel ESS Sabre ES9028PRO digital-to-analog converter. It is configured so, that the left and right channels have 4 Mono DACs. Superlative signal processing of the digital data streams extracts audio nuances with tremendous clarity and detail with an unprecedented low noise floor. The DAC feeds the specially developed, differential output filters with sonic components that are perfectly tuned for lifelike sound reproduction. The DT-6000 is powered by an internally produced, unique toroidal transformer with powerful slit foil capacitors to prevent signal loss and provide all major circuits with independent, isolated power with a low noise floor. This provides even less noise and helps isolate sensitive circuits’.
USB, MQA and DSD
The unit is equipped with a PC USB input for support of MQA and DSD audio and uses coaxial and optical inputs for PCM 32-bit/384kHz music files. The included CD tray mechanism provides additional flexibility for music streamers and media players.
Rotel RA-6000 integrated amplifier
The RA-6000 integrated amplifier delivers 350 watts of output power into four ohms. It’s based on the technical design and functionalities of the top models in the MICHI series, especially in terms of circuit design, acoustic components and the technology behind the power supply. It also features upgrades from Rotel’s recent MKII models. Listeners can connect their favorite audio sources thanks to the various source inputs, including coaxial (3), optical (3), analog (3), PC-USB with support for MQA, Bluetooth with aptXTM HD for high-quality streaming, XLR Balanced, iOS USB for Apple devices and a Moving Magnet Phono input for vinyl album lovers.
Colors and prices
The Diamond Series RA-6000 and DT-6000 will be available through authorized Rotel outlets in the United States beginning in July 2022, in black and silver.
