Nubert nuPro XS-8500 RC soundbar

Nubert

For movie buffs who want to be ready in one step, the Nubert nuPro XS-8500 RC soundbar – with Dolby Atmos – might be an interesting and low profile option.

Not everyone is waiting (or has the space) for an arsenal of surround speakers in the living room. For them, soundbars are a gift from the heavens. The high-end brands are also venturing into this branch of sport more and more often. The new Nubert NuPro XS-8500 RC Soundbar is a sturdy, outgrown specimen. With a length of 120 cm and a weight of 100 kilos you have to look for something else than a half rickety bookshelf attached to the wall as a base. You will find four midrange drivers in it and the low frequency range is taken care of by two bass drivers. These make sound from 32 Hz audible and perhaps especially tangible. Naturally, tweeters for the high end are also provided. Via HDMI-eARC you can transmit the signal from the TV, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Should you wish to connect other sources to the Nubert NuPro XS-8500 RC, two optical TOSLINK inputs are available. Or use the good old line input for an analog source. Wirelessly connecting, for example, a smartphone can be done via Bluetooth, with aptX HD or aptX Low Latency available.

Expandable

Via X-Connect Surround wireless, this Nubert can be expanded with up to 8 speakers in total. The manufacturer’s subwoofer is also controlled via a designated output if desired. Although you can of course ask yourself whether the whole thing is not a bit overshooting its goal. The NuPro XS-8500 RC costs €1669, choose from black or white. Available from mid-August, pre-order now.
