Sennheiser has officially announced the Momentum 4, the successor to the excellent Momentum 3. A lot has changed, including its appearance!
The Sennheiser Momentum over-ear headphones have always been known as ‘excellent’ in the world of audio enthusiasts. Soon it will be time for the fourth edition. The first thing that absolutely stands out is the massive playing time on a full battery, which is no less than 60 hours! Even more impressive is, that just 10 minutes of fast charging gives you alredy 6 hours of playtime. For the rest, aptX adaptive, AAC and SBC are supported as Bluetooth codecs. Whereby Sennheiser has chosen Bluetooth 5.2 as the basis. It goes without saying that ANC is not absent from headphones in this (price) class. According to the manufacturer, they even implemented the “next generation” noise reduction, including a transparent modein case you want to listen to your surroundings. Or communicate without taking the headphones off.
Microphone array
The call quality of the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is also improved over its predecessor, according to the manufacturer. Improvements includes a digital beamforming microphone network and automatic wind noise reduction. Practical aspects include the fact that the Momentum 4 can switch itself off when not in use, while linking to multiple devices is no problem either. The appearance has changed considerably, modernized if you will, compared with its predecessors. Internally, 42 mm drivers are used. Via the equalizer present in the accompanying app, it’s possible to adjust the sound to taste. The price of the headphones is €349.90, pre-orders are already possible.
