Focal has released the Bathys, the brand’s first hi-fi Bluetooth headphones with ANC on board.
The new Focal Bathys headphones feature two modes for ANC. First is “Silent,” intended for environments with a lot of background noise. Specifically meant for scenarios like train and air travel and so on. ‘Soft’ mode is designed to help you concentrate at home or in the office. In order to still be able to experience some of the outside world if you ever need to, a transparency option has been implemented too. The Focal Bathys works seamlessly with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. These are accessible via the accompanying app. In it, you will also find a customizable equalizer.
The Focal Bathys supports the codecs SBC, AAC, Apt-X and apt-X Adaptive. You can also listen via cable, either usb or analog via the well-known jack plug. The headphones offer a playing time of more than 30 hours on a full battery charge. The integrated USB-DAC has a resolution of up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. Focal’s base materials include magnesium, genuine leather on the headband and aluminum. The Bathys will be available starting this month at €799. And that includes a nicely finished carrying case.
