Should you want to dive into the past of audio, there is now the Norddeutches Museum für HiFi- und Studiotechnik.
German fairaudio reports that the new Norddeutches Museum für HiFi- und Studiotechnik has opened. There, you’ll find hi-fi and studio equipment from such illustrious brands as Revox, ITT Schaub-Lorenz, Blaupunkt and Nordmende. They are all resounding names and for the true enthusiast undoubtedly a good reason to undertake a pilgrimage to Hanover. Initiator Andreas Seeband unfortunately did not live to see the opening of his museum; he passed away in late 2020. But there are plenty of people looking after his brainchild. You will find the 640-square-meter museum on the grounds of the Tram Museum in Hanover, so a very nice combo is no problem. The Norddeutches Museum für HiFi und Studiotechnik offers, among other things, a theme room with Revox equipment, a studio technology room, “Grandma’s living room” and more. Consideration has also been given to a listening room where demonstrations are regularly given.
