Porsche Design’s new Dolby Atmos Soundbar is housed in (or rather behind) an original Porsche 992 GT3 exhaust.
Fans of the likes of Max Verstappen can drown themselves in Porsche’s new 911 Soundbar. If only because it is housed in (behind) a real, original exhaust from a 992 GTI. This is a 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos speaker with a total output power of up to 300 watts. Practical is the 4K passtrough HDMI connection. That’s where you plug in a game console or media player, for example. Furthermore, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect are supported, which gives a lot of extra possibilities.
By the way – perhaps a minor disappointment: the exhaust is absolutely lifelike and original, only no music note comes out of it. It’s pure decoration in this case. Also nice. The whole thing weighs 65 kilograms and is 1.5 meters long. You pay $12,000 for this eye-catcher. Have one? Then you have to be very quick, because only 500 will be made. Available from January 1, 2023.
