Rega presents Elex MK4

The Rega Elex has been upgraded to MK4, making it a direct replacement for the Elex-R.

The new Rega Elex MK4 integrated amplifier features – the manufacturer promises – improved electronics and a sleeker design. In addition, a DAC is built-in. You will find four line inputs on it, plus an optical and coaxial digital input. The DAC is based on Rega’s own DAC-R circuit, using a Wolfson DAC and discreetly built output stage. For headphone enthusiasts, the 6.3 mm headphone output comes in handy. The Elex MK4 delivers up to 72 watts per channel into 8 ohms, or 90 watts into 6 ohms. You have a record player on hand? Then there is an MM phono preamplifier built-in. The price tag attached to the newborn shows £1199.
