The Clearaudio Balance Reference Phono is a phono preamplifier with the added bonus of a built-in volume control.
If you are serious about listening to vinyl, you need a serious phono preamplifier to go with it. That could be, for example, the new Clearaudio Balance Reference Phono. The unit is suitable for both MM and MC cartridges and has many available settings. In the package, in addition to the phono preamplifier itself, you’ll find a dual-mono power supply and a remote control. Choose from two dual-mono XLR and cinch inputs at the rear. Available there are dual outputs too. The inputs are completely separated from each other.
Dipswitches
At the bottom of the Clearaudio Balance Reference Phono you will find a series of dip switches that allow you to switch between MM and MC, as well as adjust the input impedance or capacitance. Switching from stereo to mono is possible, as is adding a subsonic filter. Two headphone jacks on the front and a volume control (also controllable via remote). The price of this phono preamp is €7900.
