It took a while, but Tesla cars will finally have access to Apple Music; music on the road that is!
It was notable that it was precisely a “tech” car like Tesla’s that was devoid of Apple Music. That shortcoming has now been resolved. If you have a Tesla, install the ready-made ‘Holiday Update’ and you will see that Apple Music is then integrated into the Tesla music player. Small catch: you do need to purchase a Premium Connectivity subscription from Apple Music for this to work over mobile data traffic. There are more niceties incorporated into the aforementioned update, by the way. For example, you can now play a mountain of Steam games in the car, a new Tesla game has been added, as well as dog-friendly climate control, a light show where the headlights flash to match the music and a Mario Kart mode for the autopilot.
