Fans of Pink Floyd will enjoy the new box set The Dark Side Of The Moon, celebrating the album’s 50th anniversary.
Although singer Roger Waters exhibits a somewhat strange representation of the world order these days, his music – especially from the Pink Floyd period – is still beloved. And so it will soon be excitement all over for true fans of this former band. The album The Dark Side Of The Moon was released 50 years ago. And that’s reason for a special boxset. New in comparison with the original: you can listen to the album in Dolby Atmos, which gives it another and new dimension. You’ll find a variety of items in the set. First, two CDs, the first of which is a remaster of the album and a live recording of The Dark Side Of The Moon Live At Wembley Empire Pool from 1974. Then there are two LPs of 180 grams each, including original posters and stickers, with the second LP containing the same live concert as on the CD. We’re not there yet: Two music Blu-Ray discs are in the package too; the first of which contains the original studio mix in both 5.1 surround (24 bit / 96 kHz, remastered stereo mixes (24 bit / 192 kHz) and both 5.1 and stereo mixes in dts-HD MA format.
On the other Blu-ray you’ll find the already mentioned new Dolby Atmos mix. To complete the set in terms of music media, an audio DVD with the original studio album has been added too. On it: Remastered in Dolby Digital (448 kpbs and 640 kbps versions) and stereo (LPCM 24 bit / 48 kHz. Also included in the package are books, replicas or the singles Money / Any Colour You Like and Us and Them / Time.
The box set The Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set is now available for pre-order and available from March 24, at a cost of £215.
