We hope that we have been able to help you a bit with the tweaks we have suggested. Placing speakers correctly is free. Connecting your system in phase is also free. So is cleaning contacts and checking various filters of a dac; should the device have that capability.
Sawing some wooden blocks and adjusting the acoustics of the room doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. But it can do a lot, in case of acoustics. It really does pay off! Have fun tweaking!
I thought i was the only crazy hifi person who checks polarity and cleans ALL cables and contacts. I disconnect and clean once a year. The amount of crap that comes of all of the contact surfaces is unreal. Even the IEC fuse compartments and fuse become really dirty. Great Article 🙂
