The A500 active loudspeaker from Buchardt Audio measures the listening room itself – with the matching hub – and optimises the sound for it. And both in stereo and surround setup.
Each Buchardt Audio A500 has its own power amplifier, each with a power of 150 watts. Note: one power amplifier per driver, which gives a total power of 450 Watt per speaker. Special is that you will also find a driver on the back of the A500, this is the sub. Furthermore, you can pair the speakers wirelessly via WiSa transmitters, streaming in a lossless quality of 24 bit / 96 kHz. The digital signal is fed directly to the quad-core DSP, where it is optimized for each speaker. Hereby 2700 measurement points per speaker are analysed.
HUB for full functionality
The Buchardt Audio A500 loudspeakers can work perfectly in any room (according to Buchardt). But the full potential can only be unleashed with the matching HUB. It can wirelessly control up to 16 WiSa-capable speakers. You will also find optical and analog connections for a CD player, computer, record player and more.
There is also a USB connection for streaming audio, while HDMI ARC is also available. Furthermore, Apple’s AirPlay 2 is supported, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX, Chromecast (Roon Endpoint), Spotify Connect and DLNA / UPnP. In the HUB you will also find the promised optimisation system for the listening room. The A500 speakers are available from €3200 (pre-order action price), a set consisting of the speakers and the HUB will cost you €3450 (also pre-order action price). The separate hub normally costs €500.
