Nubert has released a new device with which you can connect audio components wirelessly with each other. With high-res quality.

Of course: the time-honoured cable connection still gives the best quality combined with flexibility. But sometimes, as an end user, you just don’t want to run ‘ugly’ cables through a room. Or a cable connection becomes a bit expensive because of the length to be bridged. Whatever the reason: if you want to go wireless, Nubert has released a new transmitter / receiver called nuConnect trX.

For example, connect a module configured as a transmitter to your PC or laptop and send the signal wirelessly to a similar module configured as a receiver linked to your hi-fi system. Active subwoofers or equally active speakers can also be connected wirelessly to your streamer, for example.

trX

Technically, Nubert nuConnect trX supports a quality of up to 192 kHz / 24 bit. On the input side, however, this is limited to the well-known 96 kHz / 24 bit for Toslink and a somewhat mediocre 48 kHz / 16 bit via USB-C.

By the way, the trX-technique originates from the nuPro X-series, but is now also available completely stand-alone. So if you already have a trX-capable Nubert, you only need one module (optionally usable as a transmitter or as a receiver). If you don’t have any Nubert-products in your house, you will need another module. Configure one as a transmitter and the other as a receiver and you’re ready to go. The price of this is not that bad: a single module costs €131, a double pack of Nubert nuConnects changes hands for €225.
