Copland presents top model CSA 150 integrated amplifier

The Danish manufacturer Copland has a new integrated amplifier in the form of the CSA 150 ready for you. Hybrid, equipped with tubes and semiconductors.

The Copland CSA 150 is an integrated amplifier for those who just can’t decide between tubes and semiconductors. In this new high-end model you will find an amplifier stage built around a double triode buffered with MOSFETs. The maximum output power that this puts out, is 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 230 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

According to the manufacturer, during music playback even more power than specified is generated. And that, in turn, has to do with the current feedback in the CSA 150, which presents optimally at dynamic sound.

DAC

The DAC – also present in the Copland CSA 150 – is based on the ES9028 32 bit reference DAC chip. You have access to one coaxial and two optical digital inputs, plus USB. PCM and DSD playback is not a problem. Should you feel the need, an optional Bluetooth aptX module can be built in.

Also on the analog side there is little to complain about. You can choose from three unbalanced line inputs, two balanced inputs while also providing balanced and unbalanced outputs. For vinyl enthusiasts, there is an MM phono input. Practical is also the headphone output for listening in silence.

The frequency range of the new Copland runs from 10 Hz to 150 kHz (-3 dB) and the signal-to-noise ratio is better than 90 dB according to the specs. At the time of writing, the CSA 150 could not yet be found on the site of Copland itself. We did see it for sale at the Danish audio company.

Don’t be shocked by the price, it’s Danish Crowns. Converted, we are talking about an amount of € 5377.25, of course, exchange rate changes reserved.
