NuPrime has released the Omnia A300, a nice compact combination of streamer, DAC and amplifier.
Most music lovers nowadays have more than enough with their streaming service as a music source. What remains, is that an amplifier comes in handy to make that music audible, while a DAC comes in handy to unlock any music collection stored on the NAS or similar.
The new NuPrime Omnia A300 is an all-in-one solution in that respect. The class D power amplifier in this compact device (surface the size of an A4) delivers a power of 2 x 200 watts to 4 Ohms (2 x 150 watts to 8 Ohms). The streamer – based on a 64 bit quad core processor) can handle music services such as Spotify, Qobuz, Tidal and TuneIn, among others.
USB and I2S
The DAC can be fed via Toslink, USB (up to 384 kHz / 24 bit) or I2S (up to 768 kHz / 32 bit).
Furthermore, an analog input is provided for the connection of equally analog sources and thanks to digital pre-outputs the whole can also be used as a streaming bridge if desired. On the wireless side, the possibilities are also excellent: Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, Wifi, LAN and Apple AirPlay are right there ready for use.
You control the NuPrime Omnia A300 via the included remote control or via the NuPrima app (available for iOS and Android). The price of the NuPrime is €1495.
