Vertere Acoustics has released a new motor controller for turntables, the whole thing works digitally this time.
The Tempo controller is largely based on Vertere Acoustics’ Reference motor control system, particularly the innovative circuitry around the control of the motor. The whole is based on microprocessors and a digitally calculated sine wave form is converted into analog sine and cosine voltages via a DAC.
Via two output stages operating in bridge, this signal is fed out. The Vertere Acoustics RG-1 and SG-1 turntables will be released with the new Tempo speed controller immediately. Should you still have an MG-1 in use, an upgrade is possible.
Four power supplies
Naturally, Vertere Acoustics has paid a lot of attention to the finishing touch. For example, a gold-plated circuit board is used and four independent stabilized power supplies have been chosen internally. The various ‘blocks’ in the circuit are shielded with copper foil. The Tempo has a switch for 33 and 45 rpm. You will pay a fee of €3598 for the Tempo.
