The SL-1200 appeared on the market 50 years ago, reason for Technics to now release the limited edition anniversary model SL-1200M7L.
Anyone who grew up in the 1970s and 1980s has probably seen a Technics SL-1200. Or even had one at home. The record layer was used a lot in studios too, for example at local and regional broadcasters, until the nineties (and maybe they are still in use there sometimes). Of course, it had its heyday in clubs, caressed by the hands of DJs who were able to create magical works of art. In short: the SL-1200 is an icon.
Anniversary edition
Technics has now released the SL-1200M7L, in a limited edition of just 12,000 units worldwide. Relive those good old days, or – as a DJ – simply implement this record player into your modern setup and you’re ready to go for many years to come. The anniversary player is available for pre-order now at a cost of $1099, delivery from July this year.
