Didn’t get your hands on that all-time great Sound Burger from Audio-Technica last year? Then there is good news, because the manufacturer has now brought the portable turntable back into production. In much larger quantities and also in three different colors. Choose from yellow, black and white. The design breaths eighties nostalgia, but under the hood it’s modern technology. The belt-driven player can handle 45 and 33/13 rpm vinyl. A dynamic balance system ensures – as with the original, by the way – that the needle pressure remains constant during mobile use. Using the supplied cinch audio cable, the Sound Burger can be connected to a hi-fi set too. Or use a wireless Bluetooth connection for this purpose. The built-in battery is rechargeable via USB-C.
Remains the price: the Sound Burger costs €229. The black and white versions are on the verge of delivery; the yellow one is expected sometime this summer.
