Monitor Audio Anthra Subwoofer Series

Monitor Audio releases the Anthra Subwoofer, actually a series consisting of three separate subs.

Monitor Audio’s new Anthra subwoofer series consists of three different units. Almost obviously the differences are mainly in the dimensions. Where it is just as obvious that this also creates differences in sound. However, all three subs have a number of common characteristics. First, there is the use of the C-CAM cones. These are known for their rigidity and lightweight construction. For this, among other things, Rigid Surface Technology II – also known as RST II – was used that should guarantee extra stiffness of the cone while ensuring minimal distortion.

From small to large

The Monitor Audio Anthra subs are equipped with a Class D amplifier. And there, in terms of maximum power, we see another difference between the three models in the series: successively from small to large: 425, 900 and 1400 watts RMS. The cabinets of each of the subs are made of thick MDF. Thanks to various inputs (including RCA with LFE and XLR), connecting is a breeze. Daisy chaining up to four different subwoofers is also an option. Furthermore, on the back of each sub you’ll also find a color display plus rotating selection button for access to the settings menu. You can use the accompanying Maestrounite app too.

Below the line, the following three models are available:

Anthra W10, 10-inch driver, €2150

Anthra W12, 12-inch driver, €2450

Anthra W15, 15-inch driver, €3200
