Sharp presents new all-in-ones

High-end sound is not needed for every location at home. Sometimes a space saver is needed instead. Sharp has a possible solution!

In fact, at least visually, the new Sharp Tokyo DAB+ is most reminiscent of the time-honored tabletop radio. But in addition to an FM and DAB+ tuner, you will also find a CD player inside. Then there is a USB port in which you can insert a memory stick full of MP3s. And to make it complete, a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver in its innards. Because the speakers are built into this model too, it’s a real all-in-one. To which you can connect any analog source via a 3.5 mm mini-jack if desired. Should you ever want to listen in silence, you can do so via a headphone jack.

Sharp Tokyo FM Hi-Fi Micro-System

Furthermore, Sharp has released the Tokyo FM Hi-Fi Micro-System. This has almost the same functionality as the Tokyo DAB+ , minus the DAB+ tuner (FM is available though). And of course, in terms of design, it is a “classic” micro-set with separate speakers. Like the Tokyo, you have access to an equalizer with nine presets. If you still prefer DAB+ in micro format with separate speakers, there is the Tokyo DAB+ Hifi microset. More information can be found on this page, where you can click through to the individual three new models.

At the time of writing, the price of two models is known. Both grace a very pleasant price tag, making them widely applicable for all sorts of non-high-end applications at home. The Tokyo DAB+ (XL-B720D) costs €149 and the micro system only €99.
