With the Stenheim Alumine Two.Five, you are definitely getting something special. Including a remarkably unobtrusive appearance.
You could easily be fooled by the Stenheim Alumine Two.Five. For one thing, the speaker looks quite understated and unassuming, but it for sure turns out not to be. And although Stenheim talks about an entry-level model, that may be viewed differently by many given the price tag. Not entirely as expected – after all, we are really talking about afloorstander here – the whole thing is set up under the hood as a two-way system. It means that both midrange drivers cover exactly the same frequency range. Assisted by a bass reflex port. And – of course – a 25 mm soft dome tweeter. In short: quite a few surprises!
The cabinet of the Stenheim Alumine Two.Five is – as of course already apparent from its name – made of aluminum. All in all, not an everyday speaker, and not a very everyday price tag either. In fact, you have to pay €26,000 per pair for it. Or if you go for the special versions in dark brown, black or ivory €28,000.
