Dynaudio teams up with Thorens to create a turntable

Dynaudio has developed a special turntable in collaboration with Thorens, which should be available in a few months.

To begin with, the new Dynaudio turntable is based on the mechanism of the Thorens TD 403 DD. The housing of the player is made of black anodized aluminum. Internally, apart from the aforementioned mechanical part, you will find a RIAA preamplifier too. But if you prefer “modern” listening, you can also do so via digital hi-res outputs or Bluetooth with aptX. As an element, the newcomer comes standard equipped with the equally new Ortofon Music System.

The turntable should be available in somewhere between three and six months, for an estimated (rumored…) price of around €2000. Much more exciting is not yet known about the device that had its premiere at the already past High End in Munich. Also not (yet?) available on the manufacturer’s site.
