When Cambridge Audio demonstrated dancing VU meters on the display of the limited edition EVO DeLorean Edition, customers wanted those too.
By simply updating the firmware on your Cambridge Audio EVO device (there are several in this series) or the CXN100, you get a very nice new feature. And we’re talking simulated analog VU meters on the built-in display here. When the manufacturer showed these off on their limited-edition EVO DeLorean Edition, it was enthusiastically received. And so this gimmick was incorporated into the new firmware for many more of the brand’s devices. Apart from the virtual gauges, the update also provides unlimited use of Tidal Connect. Provided you have a subscription to this music service, of course. Furthermore, there are improvements and updates for Bluetooth, Airplay and Chromecast. Needless to say, the update is free of charge.
